A monstrous senior season for Columbus Community’s Eric Valdez translated to a first team selection on the Southeast Iowa Super Conference All Conference Boys’ Basketball list.

The Wildcat offense ran through the 5’11 senior, as his 19.6 points per game was second in the division. In just 14 games he tallied 275 points including setting the single game school record with 38 points in a win over Winfield-Mt. Union. Valdez shot 33.1% from deep, hauled in 60 rebounds, and dished out 51 assists. Evan Rees and Brody Frost were recognized as honorable mention. Rees tallied 113 rebounds and created 23 steals while Frost recorded 7.7 points a contest and managed 37 assists.

Columbus finished the season with a 3-19 record.
