An eye-popping senior season translated to a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division Player of the Year honor for Lone Tree’s Keegan Edwards.
The 6’2’’ guard paced four Lions on the All Conference teams and he was a big reason why the team led the league in scoring. Edwards tallied 21.1 points a game to rank first in the conference including shooting 35% from behind the arc. Scoring was just a fraction of his game, as he recorded many triple-doubles including dishing out the most assists in the division with 157. The point guard also hauled in 8.2 rebounds a game, forced 49 steals, and had 17 blocks.
Cory Krueger was named to the second team. The 6’3’’ senior was also a force on the boards with 8.1 a night, managed 9.1 points a contest, and led the team with 32 blocks. Cale Yoder and Tyler McCullough were recognized as honorable mention. Yoder had 8.2 points and 6.2 rebounds a game while McCullough shot 35% from long range and created 37 steals.
The Lions finished the 2019-2020 campaign with a 14-10 record.
