A shed caught fire as people were making syrup in rural Wellman Thursday night. According to the Washington County Communications Office, a shed was on fire with visible flames at 9:15 p.m. The fire was in the 3300 grid of Y Avenue, about six miles north of Wellman. It was outside of the woodshed on the property. Wellman Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.
