WACO High School hosted an invitational Quiz Bowl to prepare for the conference meet. Quiz Bowl is a competition between two high school teams to answer questions in general areas of knowledge. Categories for questions can include: math, science, music, geography, languages, pop culture, and more. WACO, Central Lee, Pekin, Van Buren, and West Burlington participated in this event with Van Buren taking home first place. This year’s conference meet will be hosted at Iowa Wesleyan University in Mt. Pleasant on March 24th. The Warriors won the Southeast Iowa Super Conference District Quiz Bowl Championship in 2016.
