Five-thousand students were nominated for a Marine Corps program, and one Highland student has been named a finalist. Isaac Black was selected as a finalist for the Marine Corps Semper Fidelis All-American program. Black is one of five finalists from Iowa looking to be selected for this prestigious program. Those selected to be an All-American will have an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. where they will participate in daily workouts, team-building outings, an experience at the Marine Corps Base Quantico, and tour the Nation’s Capitol. Black and other finalists will be notified in the coming weeks if they have been selected to the program. Students are selected based on their moral character, academic performance, and athletic abilities. The programs takes place from July 9th through July 13th.
