The maximum property tax dollars for the next Fiscal Year has been set by the Washington County Board of Supervisors. The increase remains below the 2% threshold that requires a supermajority for approval. Information Technology Director Cyndie Sinn explained the resolution, “Our general services levy is at a .49% increase and our rural services is at reduction of 8.02%, it will be a decrease over last year.” There were no comments from the public on the resolution and it was passed unanimously. The supervisors will next review the full budget and consider it for approval on March 31st.
