Two Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks have been named to the 2020 All-State Jazz Band. Junior tenor saxophone player Natali Miller and junior guitar player Cooper Thomas will represent Mid-Prairie at this year’s all-state concert. This will be Thomas’s second straight All-State Jazz Band appearance. Band director David Kunz says the All-State Jazz Band is a great way for jazz directors from colleges to scout potential students to recruit for their bands.  This year’s concert will take place at the Marriott in downtown Des Moines on May 14th.
