Washington County Public Health Director Danielle Pettit-Majewski says it’s important for people to be practicing social distancing as much as possible, “Really, the best thing that we can suggest right now is social distancing however possible. So, social distancing does not necessarily mean quarantine unless you are under orders but maintaining about a six-foot contact from others, especially if you’re out and about.” Stay home as much as possible. It’s also recommended that people wash their hands frequently for 20 seconds with soap and water, and continue to cover coughs and sneezes.
