The City of Riverside has accepted a construction bid for its 4th Street project. This project will include  resurfacing of the street, new curb and gutters, new storm drains, new sidewalks, and replacing of water mains. The work will be done from Highway 22 to 150 feet east of  Greene Street. Reconstruction work will also be done from St. Mary’s Street to the ally between 4th and 3rd Streets. J&L Construction in Washington was awarded the bid for a total of $75,061.25 and will begin construction in early May. Instead of setting a start and end date, City Clerk Becky LaRoche says the company will have 75 working days to complete the project. This allows the crews to work around days where weather affects the timeline of completion.
