Half an hour of non-stop music on KCII Radio led up to area fire departments and emergency officials turning on their emergency lights to show their communities that they stand alongside them as we all work through the COVID-19 situation. Washington County Emergency Management helped organize the Koombayah. People were encouraged to step outside and sing along to the music on KCII while practicing social distancing. Emergency vehicles displayed their lights at the Ainsworth and Washington Fire Stations, and in Wellman the vehicles drove through town. At 7 p.m. red and blue lights could be seen as a show of solidarity and community during a tough time.
