Iowa Concern is a free service that is providing Iowans access to stress counselors, attorneys, and referral services on a variety of topics. The free service is provided through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Iowa Concern offers a toll-free phone number, live chat, and a website. Language interpretation services are also available. On Thursday Governor Kim Reynolds extended measures for continuing the state public health emergency declaration and extended existing business closures until April 7th. She also ordered the closure of additional businesses that are not essential including florists, clothing stores, furniture stores, and book stores. As of Thursday, Iowa has 179 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 2,975 negative test results. Washington County has eight confirmed cases, Henry County has one, and Johnson County has the highest number of cases in the state at 49. People are encouraged to practice social distancing to help prevent the spread of novel coronavirus.
