The 48th Annual Iowa Shrine Bowl this summer will feature two KCII area football players and one coach to be apart of the fundraising event.

Washington’s Jadon Crawford and Highland’s Zack Lasek will represent the South squad with Washington Head Coach James Harris apart of the staff. The Iowa Shrine Bowl is an all-star game for graduating seniors that helps raise money for The Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. To date, the event has raised over $2,600,000. Crawford, an all-district selection, was an integral part of an offensive line that paved the way for a top 10 rushing attack in the state this past fall. Lasek, the future Iowa Hawkeye, tallied 54 tackles and four sacks on the Huskie defensive line. At the helm, Harris helped the Demons to a 7-3 season and a class 3A state playoff berth. He will be one of six coaches representing the South squad.

The annual game takes place Saturday, July 18th at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
