A car hit a guardrail on a Highway 1 bridge Monday morning. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 9:39 a.m. a vehicle hit a guardrail north of Washington near 180th Street. The driver was a juvenile. One person said she hit her head and Washington County Ambulance and West Chester QRS assisted at the scene. There was no medical transport. Washington County Sheriff’s personnel assisted at the scene. Damage was over $1,500 and the vehicle was towed from the scene. The driver was cited for failure to maintain control and the state was notified of the damage to the bridge’s guardrail.
