The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, in accordance with a proclamation made by Governor Kim Reynolds, has waived the deadline for recertification of pesticide applicators. The proclamation allows those already certified to remain certified until December 31st, 2020. This allows pesticide applicators to continue their operations without having to immediately submit proof of training or testing. Individuals are encouraged to submit their recertification before the end of the year once their testing and training has been completed. An extension to the private continuing instruction course has also been announced for the 2019-2020 calendar year. That course will be available until September 30th, 2020. The course for the next calendar year is scheduled to be held from December 1st, 2020 to April 15th, 2021.
