If the high school soccer season is able to resume in a few weeks, new faces will be apart of the Washington boys’ soccer team.

The Demons have had a sharing agreement with Pekin since 2017 and this year the program adds WACO into the mix. Washington Head Coach Sally Hart tells KCII Sports six Warriors are interested in going out and the team is excited for the expansion. “Coach Rohr and I have had a chance to meet with some of those athletes and we are happy to have them. We are going to build a team around the people who are willing to put in the extra effort. A lot of that comes down to who is putting in the work on their own right now with the season suspended.” The addition of WACO does not impact classification, as the Demons will still compete in class 2A.

The current spring sports suspension runs through April 12th.
