Iowa now has over 3,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19. On Monday, Governor Kim Reynolds announced 257 additional cases to bring the total confirmed cases to 3,159. The state has had 79 deaths since early March when the first death in Iowa attributed to COVID-19 was reported. Washington County has had five deaths from COVID-19 and 121 confirmed cases. Of those 121 cases, 83 people have recovered.
Social distancing measures are encouraged including staying six feet away from people, limiting exposure to people outside of your household, going to get essential supplies once per week, washing hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds, and cleaning surfaces that are touched frequently like door knobs, countertops, light switches, phones, and remote controls.
