Ninety people in Iowa have died from COVID-19. According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, as of Wednesday there have been 3,748 confirmed cases of the upper respiratory virus and 38% of those have recovered. So far, 28,244 people in Iowa have been tested. Washington County has had 126 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and five deaths. As of Wednesday, Louisa County has had 248 cases and two deaths, Johnson County has 388 cases and three deaths, Henry County has 31 cases and one death, Iowa County has 13 cases, Jefferson County has seven cases, and Keokuk County has three cases..

People are encouraged to continue social distancing efforts to prevent the spread of the virus. Also, Governor Kim Reynolds is suggesting that all Iowans take the assessment at TestIowa.com to help the state gather data on cases and potentially identify hotspots. Reynolds also announced earlier this week that efforts to increase testing are underway, including some drive-thru test sites.
