A pair of former Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks are continuing their football careers at Simpson College in Indianola. Terrhyn Jacoby finished his sophomore season and Chazlee Patterson his freshman season for the Storm in 2019. This year, Jacoby served as one of the Storm’s top kick returners, appearing in nine contests, totaling 403 return yards on the year to go with 78 receiving yards and 11 tackles on defense. His lone touchdown of the season came late in a 10-7 loss to Coe when he pulled in a 31 yard touchdown pass from Tanner Krueger.
Freshman Chazlee Patterson helped to anchor the Storm offensive line. He was part of a unit that helped Simpson gain 428 yards per contest including 145 on the ground and 282 through the air per game. The Storm scored 22.5 points per game. He appeared in five of the 10 games on the schedule for Simpson last year, including moving into the starting lineup for all three contests in the month of November. Simpson finished with a 5-5 overall record.
