The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many activities and events to be closed, including some scheduled for early this summer. This includes Keota Fun Days, which has been officially cancelled for this summer. The event was scheduled for June 12-13. Keota Fun Days coordinator Andy Conrad tells KCII News the only other time the Keota Fun Days was postponed, “This would have been my 19th Fun Days being in charge of it. I don’t remember it not happening. I’m thinking back over the years. We went later one year but that was when we did the 125th celebration in 1998 and it was later in June, and we had a storm that weekend of course. But other than that, I think it’s been pretty continuous.” Conrad says due to the COVID-19 situation, it was the best decision to make for the health and protection of everyone. The 2021 Keota Fun Days event is scheduled for June 11th and 12th.
