Over 35,000 calls have come into the Iowa 211 service since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March. The 35,000-milestone was reached Monday. Iowa 211 started fielding calls on March 8th with information provided by the Iowa Department of Public Health. Iowans from all 99 counties have used the service.

You can call 211, text 211, or use the 211 app to ask questions related to COVID-19. This number can also connect people with information about employment, housing, food, transportation, utility assistance, and other human service needs.

From March 8th to April 18th, 211 has taken 166 calls from Washington County.
