Alternate methods to tag 4-H livestock are being used due to COVID-19 cancelling spring county fair weigh-in events. The deadline is this Friday, May 1st. Families need to place online ear tag orders to reserve tags for pickup. This applies to 4-H tags for bucket bottle, breeding beef, dairy cattle, goats, sheep, and state fair swine. Tags will be made available for a no-contact pickup outside the front door of the Washington County Extension Office.

Standard ear taggers can be borrowed. When ordering online, people will be able to select their pickup date on Mondays and Thursdays from May 4th to May 21st. To access the ear tag order form click here. Any questions should be directed to the Washington County Extension Office at 653-4811.
