April in Washington was overall a bit cooler than normal with above average snowfall. According to the National Weather Service out of the Quad Cities, Washington’s average temperature in April is normally 50.5 degrees and this year it was 47.4 degrees. The normal snowfall is usually less than an inch and this year it was almost five inches. On the other hand, rainfall is normally 3.3 inches and this April it was 1.4 inches. So far this year the average temperature has been 35 degrees, about 1.5 degrees above normal.
Temperatures are expected to be warm this weekend with highs in the 70’s and upper 60’s with a chance of rain on Sunday. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
