A barn outside of Washington is still intact after a fire broke out Thursday afternoon. The barn is located east of Washington on Red Oak Avenue. The fire started at 3:56 p.m. According to the Washington County Communications Office, a person was burning brush and caught the barn’s roof on fire.

As reported live from the scene by KCII News, the barn showed signs of damage with roof damage and smoke billowing out of the roof, but fire crews were able to extinguish the fire by 4:45 p.m. Fire departments from Ainsworth, Washington, and Crawfordsville assisted at the scene. There were no injuries reported.
