As some summer events are in question of being held due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Kalona Mayor Mark Robe wanted to make sure a summer favorite happened. The Kalona Classic Car Cruise will showcase the community’s classic cars in a parade-style event around the city. Robe says this event will not require any sort of registration or fees for participants, only to show up at the event and show off a classic car in their collection. The parade will begin north of Highway 22 on 14th Street and end at the intersection of 9th Street and C Avenue. Community members are invited to enjoy the show from the comfort of their front yard starting at 5 pm on Saturday. Robe expects this parade to be 45 minutes in length.
