Mobile internet hotspots to help students access online learning in the Mid-Prairie School District were purchased in part by funds from a t-shirt sale. The Mid-Prairie School District was one local district that sold t-shirts as part of a fundraiser called “We Got Spirit” through Team Elite Sports located in Williamsburg. The Golden Hawks had the overall largest amount raised at $6,170. Superintendent Mark Schneider says these funds will go toward helping the district pay for internet hotspots purchased to help students and their families with internet issues at home. The Sigourney School District also saw a large amount of funds raised with over $1,900 to help continue to feed their students during their free lunch program. Team Elite Sports Office Manager Bridget Bamrick says shirts are being processed and have begun to be shipped out to those who ordered them. Half of the cost of every shirt was donated back to their local communities and over $65,000 was raised.
