Nurses experiencing added pressure, fear, exhaustion, or isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic can now call a new hotline for assistance. United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties shared that the ongoing stress and trauma can impact the mental health and safety of those who are taking care of patients during the pandemic. The Iowa Nurses Association is now offering a 24-hour hotline to support nurses across Iowa called Nurse to Nurse. The Nurse to Nurse hotline is free and confidential. It provides nurses a place to share stresses and concerns with the calls being answered by other nurses who have volunteered for the hotline. The hotline phone number is 515-650-2295.
