The Keota School District have formally announced their plans for their graduation ceremony. Seniors will be able to receive their diplomas along with their parents and take pictures on May 31st at the high school. To keep this social gathering to 10 or fewer people, the school is only allowing students and their parents or guardians to come inside the school to receive diplomas and take photos. Students and their parents will not be required to wear gloves or face masks to take pictures, however no handshakes will be exchanged. All 25 seniors have a 10-minute time slot where they will receive their diplomas and take photos. Afterwards, the students and parents will be led by Police Officer Doug Conrad around town for a parade to celebrate. Superintendent and High School Principal Jim Henrich says the tentative date for a formal graduation ceremony will be June 28th at 1:30 p.m. If a formal ceremony cannot happen in June, the school will look to find a date in July.
