A local World War II veteran will be sharing his personal experiences this weekend. Marion Turnipseed, a resident of the United Presbyterian Home, served in the Air Force for 33 months. He flew 35 bombing missions and had three near-death experiences. In a one-hour and 45-minute video, Turnipseed shares stories of his service. The 96-year-old maintained a diary during his time in the service. That video will be shared online by the UP Home on Facebook and YouTube this weekend, and it will be on KCTC channel 61 this Sunday at 4 p.m. and Monday at 2 p.m.
