Construction to 4th Street in Riverside is underway. Construction on this project began in early May and has blocked off access from Highway 22 to Greene Street and from St. Mary’s Street south in between 4th and 3rd Street. The bid package was awarded to J&L Construction of Washington for an amount of $875,061.25 to replace the water mains, resurface the street, and add new curbs, gutters, storm drains, and sidewalks. City Clerk Becky LaRoche says preliminary work is already done including removing trees and setting up signs around the area. This represents 3.28% of the project completion; costing $27,274.50 of the bid package. LaRoche says the working crew will have 75 working days to complete this project.
