A tractor parade will return as part of Washington’s town celebration in June. The Washington Chamber of Commerce has altered the Ridiculous Day event and the Summer Classic due to COVID-19. The Ridiculous Day sales will be on sidewalks and online for three days and that Saturday will culminate with a tractor parade. Chamber of Commerce Event Coordinator Alisha Davis says they’ve expanded the route, “I know the tractor riders and the town will be excited for a parade to kind of celebrate. And we’re bringing the parade to the community instead of the community coming to the parade down on the square. So, this will be something fun and different, and something we can do for our community that is safe.”
The parade will run from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6th. Davis encourages people to watch the parade from their own yards while practicing social distancing.
