A Washington man was arrested in Clinton for theft and forgery. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 5:55 a.m. Saturday officers in Clinton were out with 37-year-old Billy Edward Stage who was wanted out of Washington County. He was wanted for theft in the second degree and forgery with bond set at $10,000 cash only. Stage was transported to the Washington County Jail.
The charges come from an incident on February 14th this year in Washington when a man said he’d sold his 1989 GMC Sierra truck and the person gave him $1,300 worth of counterfeit $100 bills.
