The Washington County Conservation Board is ramping up the search for a campground host for the remainder of the camping season. The Marr Park campground has been busy since being allowed to reopen with 10 of the 41 campsites filled with campers. At their latest meeting, Conservation Director Zach Rozmus told the board that their hosts from last camping season are unable to come back this year due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Efforts were halted temporarily to find a new host due to many of the facilities being closed to the general public. Now, with more COVID-19-related restrictions being lifted by Governor Kim Reynolds, the search has started up once again. Rozmus says the campground host will help staff with cleaning efforts as more facilities like bathrooms and shower houses open up and social gathering guidelines are lifted. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact Rozmus at 319-657-2400 for more information.
