People who would like to vote early in the June 2nd primary still have time to vote curbside at the Washington County Courthouse. Early voting can be done at the courthouse through Monday. People can drive to the courthouse, call the auditor’s office at 653-7717, and a ballot will be brought out to your vehicle to vote early in person. Washington County Auditor Dan Widmer encourages early voting to help alleviate the polls on Tuesday.
He adds that this election there will be fewer voting sites, “Now it will be a bit of a change though, I want people to be aware of that. Again, to protect everyone and to decrease the social gatherings, we are going to have four polling places this year in the county.”
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Listen to KCII starting at 9 p.m. Tuesday for election results.
Ainsworth, Brighton, and Washington Wards 2 and 3 will vote at the Washington High School. Kalona and Riverside will vote at Riverside City Hall. Washington Wards 1 and 4 will vote at the county courthouse. And Wellman and West Chester residents can vote at the West Chester Heritage Building. Washington County does not have a contested primary race at the county level.
