A Mount Pleasant man was arrested on felony charges after being found intoxicated outside of Mount Pleasant Monday. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 7:50 p.m. of a possible accident in the 2400-grid of 290th Street, southeast of Mount Pleasant. Sheriff’s personnel arrived at the scene and located 35-year-old William Schroeder Jr. and the vehicle. Further investigation determined Schroeder was intoxicated, had a non-valid driver’s license, and the plates did not match the vehicle nor was the vehicle registered to Schroeder. Schroeder was charged with operating while intoxicated, third offense, a class D felony. He was also given citations for no valid driver’s license, fraudulent use of registration, and failure to provide proof of financial liability. Schroeder was transported to the Henry County Jail.
