A vehicle caught on fire and was destroyed after a head on collision with a deer Sunday morning. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office learned of the collision in the 2100-grid of US Highway 218 and responded. At the scene, sheriff’s personnel found a 2017 Chevrolet Trax, engulfed in flames. The driver was Deleta Hayden of Mount Pleasant and she had minor injuries. The vehicle was a total loss. The Mount Pleasant Police Department assisted at the scene.
