The City of Wellman has cancelled their traditional 4th of July festivities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During these festivities park activities, fireworks, and a parade would take place, but they all have been cancelled to limit social contact among community members. City officials say they understand the frustrations of cancelling the event, but do not want to put individuals at risk of infection.
