Washington is accepting applications to help homeowners improve the exterior of their homes. Washington City Administrator Brent Hinson tells KCII that the city is planning to apply for the State of Iowa Community Development Block Grant funds to help improve the exterior of six homes anywhere in the city limits. If funded, up to $24,999 will be available for the six homes.

The city has to pre-qualify all homeowners to be assisted with the program, so applications are now being accepted. For application information click here.
