A semi driver was assisted by the water rescue team in Washington County on Wednesday morning. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 7:11 a.m. a semi driver called emergency officials stating he was stuck on the mud road just north of the Kewash Trail, near Kiwi Avenue and 230th Street.

The semi was stuck due to water on the roadway from the creek being out of its banks. A member of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and was unable to get to the semi as it was completely surrounded by water. A rescue boat responded to the scene and assisted.

No injuries were reported and the name of the driver was not released.
