A portion of Spruce Avenue will be closed south of Riverside starting Monday. The Washington County Engineer’s Office announced thru traffic will be closed between Riverside Road and 135th Street. Crews will be regrading the road to restore the road cross section, improving ditch drainage, placing a new rock surface, and extending a box culvert.

It is part of the county’s five-year road plan. The contract for the work was awarded to DeLong Construction of Washington for $232,142.50. Work is expected to end by July 30th.
