The next chapter of the Hillcrest Academy and Lone Tree sports rivalry will play out tonight on the diamond. The Raven baseball team travels to Lone Tree to meet the Lions. Hillcrest is 1-2 on the year, after winning over Highland on opening night the Ravens have been beaten back-to-back nights by Burlington Notre Dame and Cardinal by 9-0 and 12-0 scores. The Ravens are hitting .179 for the season, led by Eli Ours and his .375 average and two runs scored. London Schrock has a team best two RBI. On the mound the Ravens have posted a 5.25 ERA with Ours in the lead at 2.62.

Lone Tree comes into the game 1-1 on the year through games recorded this year. The Lions opened the season Monday with a 17-2 win against Columbus before falling to Highland 7-4 Tuesday.

The Hillcrest softball team is 0-2 on the year after losses at Highland and Cardinal this week. The Ravens are led at the plate by Sarah Miller who has recorded the lone Hillcrest hit to this point on the season. Leah Bontrager has thrown all nine innings for the Ravens this year in the circle with an ERA of 14.

Lone Tree softball is 2-1 on the year with wins over Columbus and Danville and a loss to Highland this week. Lone Tree has won three straight over Hillcrest including a 16-4 and 10-0 doubleheader sweep a season ago. Both games will start at 7p.m. tonight with softball at Hillcrest and baseball at Lone Tree.
