A man was arrested after a chase in Washington County late Saturday night. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 11:13 p.m. an officer was out with a vehicle in the 2300 grid of Nutmeg Avenue. A chase ensued as the vehicle fled the stop. The vehicle eventually stopped and the driver ran from the vehicle.
Thirty-one-year old Cesar Amilcar Garcia de Leon was apprehended and arrested for eluding, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, interference with official acts, numerous traffic offenses, and charges are pending for operating while intoxicated.
He also had two warrants out of Washington County for failure to appear for pretrial operating while intoxicated, and a Louisa County warrant for failure to appear for pretrial conference. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
