A KCII area softball matchup took place in Winfield on Thursday night and the Wolves had the upper hand in a 10-0 win over Columbus Community.
Madie Anderson shined again in the circle giving up just one hit in six innings of work and striking out 15 Columbus batters. The Wolves’ offense was methodical holding a 3-0 advantage after four innings and then added seven in the next two frames to win by the 10-run rule. Anderson helped herself with three hits at the plate and drove in five runs. Molly Miller finished 2-for-4 with four RBI.
After Thursday, WMU improved to 4-1 and Columbus dropped to 0-5.
