One of two ambulances on shift in Washington County will soon be stationed out of Kalona. At Wednesday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting, County Ambulance Director Jeremy Peck presented an agreement for the county to have an ambulance based out of a Kalona city-owned building for the next three years, “What we will pay for will be electricity, telephone, internet, that sort of thing. Just basically acknowledging that that’s good with you.” The supervisors approved the agreement.

Peck said the plan is to have the ambulance there starting July 13th. The other staffed ambulance on shift will still be based out of the ambulance facility in the City of Washington.
