
One person was taken by helicopter to the hospital after a motorcycle wreck near West Chester Wednesday night. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 9:52 p.m. an emergency call was received saying a man had come up to their house saying his girlfriend was hurt from a motorcycle accident but didn’t want them to call for help. He then walked away and had a dog with him.
Two members of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded and requested medical assistance after hearing a person yelling for help off the roadway. Washington County Ambulance, Washington Rescue, Washington Fire Department, Wellman Fire Department, Washington County Emergency Management, and Air Care responded to the scene.
A helicopter transported one person to the University of Iowa Hospital. Names of those involved were not released.
