After falling to Columbus Community on Tuesday, the Highland softball team bounced back in a big way downing Holy Trinity 10-0 in Riverside on Thursday.
The Huskies tallied one run in the first, two in the third, four in the fourth, and three more in the fifth to win by the mercy-rule. Grace Batcheller tossed all five innings in the circle giving up three hits and striking out six. The Huskie bats manufactured 13 hits led by Dani Laughlin going 3-for-4 with one RBI and three runs scored. Mackinze Hora, Alli Brand, and Sarah Burton each added a pair of knocks.
After the win, Highland improves to 7-6 overall and 4-3 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.
