Soybeans across Iowa are blooming and corn is starting to silk as of this week. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, corn condition is rated at 85% good to excellent and soybean condition is 83% good to excellent. Soybean emergence is two weeks ahead of last year and five days ahead of the five-year average. In southeast Iowa, 6% of the soybean crop has bloomed.
