An area non-profit hospice program has been recognized as a top provider in 2019. EveryStep Hospice based out of Mount Pleasant was named by the Strategic Healthcare Programs as a Superior Performer for achieving an overall caregiver and family satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20 percent of all eligible SHP clients. This award is determined by looking at consumer hospice survey satisfaction scores of more than 1,400 hospice providers. EveryStep provides hospice services to individuals with serious illnesses in Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Van Buren, and Washington counties.
