While other state and county fairs have been cancelled due to COVID-19, the Keokuk County Fair will continue on as scheduled this weekend. County Fair Board Member Dixie Shipley announced in June the fair would continue as normal, but with some COVID-19 restrictions in place. The fair board will not require masks, but is encouraging fair-goers to use them, and will enforce social distancing. Thursday kicked off a weekend full of events with early entry for exhibits, and a performance by “The Boys.” Events such as harness horse races, figure eight races, bingo, kids games, and carnival rides are being held. The Keokuk County Fair is being held in What Cheer through Sunday.
