A Brighton man won a $300,000 Iowa lottery prize. Garland Nash won the 10th and final top prize in the “Colossal Crossword” scratch game. When the final top prize for a scratch game is claimed in Iowa, distribution ends for the game and it is pulled from store shelves. Nash purchased the winning ticket in Washington at the Washington Liquor and Tobacco Outlet. Nash claimed his prize earlier this week at lottery headquarters in Clive.
