Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate is encouraging Iowans to take part in National Disability Voter Registration Week. Pate’s office states approximately 300,000 Iowans have a disability. The week is a nationwide nonpartisan initiative to help register, educate and prepare voters for the 2020 election. National Disability Voter Registration Week is coordinated by the American Association of People with Disabilities’ REV UP Campaign for voter registration, education and engagement.
Pate encourages people to learn about available resources like curbside voting and large-print voter registration forms. Iowans can register to vote online, which helps maintain social distance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
